This recipe is also called “burned sugar cream”
I should admit that this dessert is not recommendable when we try to loose weight, but it is comparatively light and we could use brown sugar to prepare it.
You could eat it in the morning or before training or making exercises in order to burn the extra calories.
Try this recipe, because it is easy to prepare, not too expensive and very delicious!!!
1 liter /2 1/5 pounds/ of milk
2 cups of brown sugar (or 1 cup of white sugar)
6 tbsp. of butter
100 gr. /3,5 oz./ of corn starch
Boil the milk. Then melt the butter in a frying pan and add the brown sugar. Wait until you feel the smell of caramel. (If you use white sugar, put the butter in the milk and melt the sugar with 1 tbsp of water. Stir all the time until the colour becomes amber – not brown!). Pour the caramelized sugar in the milk and stir until it melts completely. Beat up the yolks, the starch and about 250 ml. of cold water. Add part of the hot milk slowly to the above mixture. At the end mix all the ingredients and poach while stirring all the time until the cream thickens. Pour in glasses or cups and decorate with cream and grounded walnuts.
